MasterGraphics Donates More Than $25,000 in Scholarships

Announces Platinum-Level Sponsorship of WI Supermileage Competition

April 14, 2007 - Madison, Wis. - MasterGraphics, design process experts and leading Midwest supplier of design data solutions for the manufacturing, building and civil engineering industries, announces its sponsorship of the WI Supermileage competition at the Platinum level, a $10,000 donation in scholarships made possible through the assistance of Autodesk. Strengthening tomorrow's workforce through today's education, the WI Supermileage competition gives middle- and high-school students the opportunity to explore careers and talents in engineering and design through a real world hands on challenge - designing, building and testing a fully-functional fuel efficient vehicle.

"Not only does the WI Supermileage competition bring tomorrow's design professionals together to investigate a future in manufacturing and engineering design, it gives many students their first chance to roll up their sleeves and build innovative creations with their own hands," says Michael Wilkes, president of MasterGraphics. "We are honored to help these remarkable students demonstrate their impressive capabilities and we look forward to watching them grow into the skilled professionals we know they'll become."

Representatives from MasterGraphics will attend each WI Supermileage competition to personally award the scholarships to the winning teams. The WI Supermileage competition challenges student teams across the state to design, build and test vehicles for endurance and/or fuel economy. The competition provides a fun and practical outlet for students to apply science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills, which helps strengthen the nation's economic competitiveness through education.

In addition to the $10,000 WI Supermileage sponsorship, MasterGraphics and Autodesk have donated over $17,000 in scholarships in 2007 to support additional STEM initiative competitions in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota. These programs include the Minnesota Supermileage in Brainerd, the Minnesota Tech Challenge in Eden Prairie, and SkillsUSA competitions in Madison, Wisconsin, Bloomington, Minnesota, and Bismarck, North Dakota.

MasterGraphics and Autodesk are committed to inspiring the next generation of innovators through the support of Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of pre-engineering instruction for middle- and high-school students. Participating schools place an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education with dynamic pre-engineering courses that employ rigorous project-based curricula. The program currently boasts over 1,800 participating schools in the United States and District of Columbia, reaching an estimated 175,000 students in grades six through twelve.

MasterGraphics is the preferred reseller of Autodesk education solutions for Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. In May 2007, MasterGraphics will launch its Autodesk 2008 Product Solution Seminars at locations throughout the Midwest, bringing the latest Autodesk tips and techniques directly to its customers.
