Intro to 3D: AutoCAD MEP
AutoCAD MEP includes features you can use to design building systems and coordinate your project drawings and construction documents. Our free, three-hour test drives provide a hands-on experience for those considering a switch to this powerful software.
Learn more about AutoCAD MEP software
The AutoCAD MEP Test Drive is designed to introduce you to some basic features and concepts of the software. You will get an overview of the basics of how to work with mechanical (HVAC), piping, electrical and plumbing systems using AutoCAD MEP.
You will receive an overview of most of the following topics:
- Working with the mechanical HVAC Workspace, you will see how to draw duct to connect the diffusers with a VAV box. You will also gain an overview on how to create a section view of a portion of your drawing.
- Working with Piping using the Piping workspace you will draw pipe to connect to sprinklers and see how to make modifications to selected piping.
- With the Electrical tools and workspace you will add receptacles, wire the receptacles and add light fixtures. You will also gain insight on how to use the Circuit Manager to review and manage circuits. Finally you will see how to create a panel schedule for your drawing.
- In Plumbing, you will overview on how to draw a waste line, connect fixtures to the line and add a vent line. You will also see how to create a fixture schedule.
Upgrade your efficiency.
This AutoCAD MEP overview event is best suited for those currently using AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT or various other CAD products. We'll show you how easy using the software is, and how quickly you can see the real benefits.
Custom test drives are available upon request to fit your needs and schedule.
