Model Validation
Changes in the definition of a 3D CAD model can happen anywhere in your process; from internal design changes to supplier design changes. Undesired changes can be concealed and imbedded in the 3D CAD data. If undetected they can cause disastrous problems downstream costing you time and money. To solve this problem Kubotek has created a Validation Tool for, precise comparison of 3D CAD files with encrypted reporting capabilities.
- Compare 3D CAD revisions or different 3D CAD formats - See what has changed
- Check translation results
- Tests face sizes, locations, types and model volume, area, CG and topology
- Works with models from all major CAD systems with no requirement for CAD licenses
- Simple, pass/fail results - customizable with user criteria
- Interactive visual 3D walk-through of results
- Ultra fast processing with results reports
Benefits Include:
- Ability to trust your designs
- Improve time to market
- Save time over tedious and error prone manual reviews
- Product available as independent tool or as add-on for use with KeyCreator
The Kubotek Validation ToolTM assures manufacturers that two CAD models that visually appear the same truly are geometrically identical. Kubotek Validation ToolTM performs a critical test for manufacturers that rely on the 3D model as the product specification and distribute models to suppliers. Suppliers can quickly find all changes to the 3D model when provided with a new model revision and quickly determine if an updated quote is required. The report generation capabilities of the software include simple pass-fail indicators, a tamper-proof validation certificate, and a detailed listing of any differences found.
